Piano music fills the air with its pained and distorted sound, as if played by two hands possessed to create two separate melodies, only to come together in the rare chorus filled with rage and frustration or a dream-like bridge. [Soul stands in his room, an hour or so after the meeting about Asura had ended. He had gathered his thoughts, tried to plan his words and took a deep breath while looking into the camera, doing everything he could to keep his expression neutral.]

Maka, I need to talk to you. Alone.

[With that, the feed ends.]

[The video feed comes in with a tiny bit of haze before showing Soul's face. He's pale and with a frustrated, exhausted expression, he wipes a bit of blood from the corner of his lips.]

[This took a while to do, since Soul was really out of it for a few days after being rescued. He just sorta woke up enough to do this. And ow fuck his arms, they huuurt. Having nails in arms is not fun. But just a small, slightly gruff voice.]

Tch, what the hell is even going on? Where are we this time?
